About Sport Posture
Sport Posture is a concept developed by kinesiologist and posture specialist Rob Williams. After almost 20 years and 20,000 hours of private client instruction, while managing his own posture-related injuries and their effect on his athletic career, Rob identified a void in the field of sport medicine. Rob felt there was a need for practitioners, coaches and athletes to look at human performance through a different lens.
Careful analysis of an athlete’s static and dynamic posture can reveal any number of performance-limiting conditions, as well as identify contributing risk factors for existing or potential injury. This information is beneficial for pre-season performance conditioning, post-injury rehabilitation, and athlete screening and recruitment. It’s also critical to the long-term health and success of the athlete.
